On December 16th, 2023, Wreaths Across America will be honoring fallen heroes in Northeast Alabama.
Wreaths of remembrance will be laid upon graves of U.S. servicemembers interred at Fort McClellan (Ala) Military Cemetery as the names of fallen veterans are read aloud. This event is part of a nation-wide effort of decorating and beautifying military cemeteries just in time for Christmas.
"We support Wreaths across America and are in the process of partnering up with this important organization," said American Legion Post 57 Commander Bob Pearl. "Please help our location lay wreaths at as many graves as possible by [visiting their website] and clicking the red 'Sponsor' button. Or, if you would like to volunteer to participate in the wreath laying ceremony, please click the 'Volunteer' button next to the cemetery name , and don't forget to click the 'Invite' button to invite your friends and family to join you."
As a charitable organization, Wreaths Across America depends on volunteers and sponsors for resources and manpower. More information about sponsoring a wreath or volunteering is available on the Wreaths Across America web page for the event: https://www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/pages/15485/Overview.
